Catriona has been knitting her whole life and has created many garments for her loyal following of customers. A chance meeting with a fellow small business owner brought Shirley into the venture. Their shared passion for wool, sustainability, and local production resulted in the formation of Watson & Nairn.
Production methods are such that small or larger quantities of high-quality knitwear can be made to suit your needs. We can cater to individuals looking for a one-off product as well as companies wanting to develop their own collections. We have our own workshop in Scotland, in which, we use a Kniterate digital knitting machine and we hand finish every garment.
This local, sustainable, production method means we can create a variety of different patterns and designs, including, if you want, your very own unique exclusive design. We love working alongside other organisations and are more than happy to discuss customising garments for companies, schools, sporting organisations, charitable associations etc.
Our production method allows us to provide you with no minimum order quantities in a range of products including scarves, shawls, blankets, neck warmers etc.
We work with reputable suppliers to ensure the entire process is environmentally friendly, high quality and results in very low levels of waste.
Our yarns include organic cotton, natural organic wools, lambswool, alpaca, cashmere, mohair and shine.
